We offer fly in - fully catered packages for those who want to spend less time on the road and more time on the river. Self catering groups are also welcome and this includes a chef that will follow your instructions in preparing your meals. We would like our guests to enjoy absolute privacy! So we will never rent the lodge out to more than one group. So the bigger your group … the better the rate per person will be.

Take a tour.......
Built from stone. Every single stone had to be quarried locally and then chiselled into a perfect brick like shape. The Lodge is built to accommodate 12 adults and 4 children. Each air-conditioned room sleeps two and they are all en-suite. The bathrooms are all different, some have outside showers giving a unique experience. To add a little extra convenience … every bedroom has a bar fridge and tea and coffee making facility.
Each Bedroom has a sliding door that opens onto a spacious veranda. The bedrooms have been positioned to ensure that nothing obstructs your view of the mighty Zambezi. The Entertainment area offers 180 degree views of the river, wherever you sit… you see water. The Dinning area seats up to 16 guests. The adjoining TV / Lounge area leads to the Bar / Pool table area. For those hard core sports fans that will sacrifice catching the big one … in order to watch THE Rugby game, we have installed a 50 inch Flat screen TV with DSTV. If there are any scores to be settled after the match, you can take it out on the pool table.
The bar area completely opens up onto the outside Veranda a pefect place to relax and read a book or enjoy a card or board game. For that reason, we have every board game you can think for your convenience. The entertainment area is finished off with a wooden teak deck outside and lawn that leads you to The Pool. When it come so the swimming pool … we will let the photos speak for themselves! Let us not forget about The Boma. After a “hard day’s work” … there are few things as relaxing as putting ones feet up around a fire pit.
Expect some stomach cramps after hearing those “fishing stories” about the BIG one that got away! When it comes to The Kitchen … this is a place that you would not need a tour of. We will have a chef cooking all meals that will include delicious bar snacks and scrumptious deserts.
It is true that most come for the fishing… but there is nothing wrong with enjoying a little luxury on a fishing trip!!! Zambezi Island Lodge is an ideal family holiday destination. Plenty for the kids to do … and … less for the ladies to do! Just relax! Hope you enjoyed your tour.
